Automated steel scrap conveying and management system

The system was designed for the efficient collection, conveying, and volume control of steel scrap generated during production processes, using the client’s existing presses. The solution enables smooth, fully automated movement of material from the point of generation all the way to the containers designated for collection and further processing.

The conveying process is carried out using advanced equipment manufactured by KMC Global Europe, which guarantees high reliability and continuous operation of the installation. The system includes Oscillating Conveyors, responsible for the smooth collection and even movement of material; SBC Steel Belt Conveyors, suited for transporting heavy and demanding steel scrap; and PIVOT Steel Belt Conveyors, ensuring safe material transport at subsequent process stages.

A key element supporting the system’s internal logistics is the ZO Rotary Chute, whose task is to precisely direct the stream of transported material onto the appropriate conveying path, in line with the requirements of the given technological process. This solution increases the flexibility of the entire installation and enables efficient management of material flow between individual sections of the system.

An additional component of the installation is two Industrial Scales, used to accurately weigh the transported material before collection. This allows for ongoing monitoring of the volume of waste generated, improved process control, and complete material traceability.

The integrated steel scrap conveying system optimizes production processes, reduces manual labor, and increases the operational safety and efficiency of the plant.
