The presented system is a comprehensive solution for conveying, cleaning, crushing, and dewatering oil-soaked steel chips. The installation was designed to maximize raw-material recovery, reduce operating costs, and streamline production-waste management.
The process begins with feeding the tangled, oil-soaked steel chip material onto a Screw Conveyor, which handles the smooth, controlled conveying of material to the next process stage.
The chips then move onto the Oscillating Solids Separator, whose task is to remove any solid elements from the conveyed material – such as larger contaminants, metal fragments, or foreign objects that could disrupt further processing. This stage increases equipment safety and protects downstream components from damage.
The cleaned material is then directed to the VAC-Type Crusher, where long, tangled chips are reduced into a finer, uniform fraction. The crushing process significantly improves the efficiency of subsequent separation and eases material conveying.
The crushed, still oil-soaked chips are conveyed by an SBC Steel Belt Conveyor to the 24CD Centrifuge. Through the use of high centrifugal force, the centrifuge effectively separates valuable process oil from the solid material. The recovered oil can be reused in production processes, translating into measurable savings and reduced material losses.
After separation, the dry chips leave the centrifuge and are conveyed by a Drag Conveyor directly into containers supplied by the client. The resulting material has significantly reduced moisture content and increased raw-material value, making it ready for further processing, recycling, or sale.
Integrating all process stages into one system enables efficient metal-waste management, recovery of valuable process fluids, and a significant improvement in production efficiency and economics.
